Recycle and Upcycle, July 13 2023
Ages 10 – 13 can get their hands dirty by learning how to recycle and upcycle everyday garbage into something fun to help nature and wildlife. Starting at 9am and ending at 3pm, we will be learning about how trash affects the environment and wildlife, using egg cartons to help plant new seeds, upcycled bird feeders, and homemade terrariums which we hope to have great success with. If there is time, we will do a small clean up in the green space around the hatchery/cottonwood and talk about what we find and how it can be harmful or recycled into something else. We encourage as much outside time as possible, and will be working on crafts and having lunch outside, weather permitting.
We will provide a snack and a juice box, but please bring tree nut free a lunch! We will also encourage outdoor play, and eating outside if the weather is nice!
